Carl Johnson Consulting provides technical review, public affairs and outreach, and regulatory and legislative consulting services for environmental and energy projects throughout the Northeast. Based in Albany, New York, and with a network of associates around the region, Carl Johnson brings more than 20 years of experience with legislation and regulations in New York, the Northeast, and at the Federal level, with particular expertise in climate change, renewable energy, air quality, waste management, remediation, and other issues.

As a former State official, Carl Johnson brings knowledge of Federal, State and local regulatory requirements and expectations, including changing perspectives based on new initiatives such as climate change programs. He also brings a sensitivity to local concerns and has a long history of working with community and advocacy groups.

Carl Johnson has significant experience in working with New York State's bureaucracy, including the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the NYS Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the Department of Health (DOH), the Public Service Commission (PSC), and others. His experience in working within the system provides clients with important insight into the public sector, insight that can save time and money.

Along with a network of associates, CJC assists companies and projects of all sizes with a wide range of services - project planning, greenhouse gas evaluations, local and state regulatory affairs, energy and pollution prevention analysis, environmental impact statements, public information and outreach, and more.
